Extracurricular Experience

2021 will be my fourth year as a faculty advisor for an MUN club. I have organized conferences as well as chaperoned students to international conferences. This can be a time consuming commitment, but the reward for me is seeing students passionately advocating for global issues in entirely student-led spaces.

I have coached girl's softball, basketball, soccer and boy's soccer at the middle school and high school levels. This has felt like a natural outlet for my team-building skills and passion for sports. I also feel that it is a natural arena to practice the true art of teaching: providing student's safe places to fail and supporting them while they learn.
